Another new season, another new look M4s.
Like everyone else today we struggled in the heat at Yateley and despite good debut performances from Thomas Caine and Laurie Wheeler we couldn't find the back of the net to pull back from the poached goal from Yateley's youngest player in the second quarter that Hayden Griffin had no chance of keeping out.
Plenty of work to do on Tuesday to tighten up on our shape and decision making (and fitness . . . ), and perhaps to work out our different roles in the team.
And it was great to see Dave Houston back on the pitch after over a year out with injury and full marks for battling through the traffic due to this weekend's closure of the M3!
In a close fourway vote, Thomas was player of the match.
