WELCOME TO FLEET & EWSHOT HOCKEY CLUB

Affiliated to the Hampshire Hockey Association

We are the club to join in north Hampshire for competitive and social hockey for adults and juniors in the Fleet and Ewshot community and surrounding areas. We currently run four Men’s and three Ladies’ teams, an occasional Mixed and Vets side and have a vibrant and expanding youth section from Minis (U8s) through to U16s. We play in the Hampshire Leagues, offer excellent training by England Hockey qualified coaches and have a lively social scene catering for all. We focus on developing players of all ages and abilities.

So if you are an experienced player, returning after a period away or new to the sport please get in touch. Take a look at the site to find out more and please contact me or any Committee member for further details. We look forward to welcoming you to the Club.

ANNIVERSARY CHARITY DAY – 28 APRIL

We chose to recognize the 40th anniversary of Ewshot HC and the 10th anniversary since the club merger by raising money for Hockey for Heroes.

Three local teams took on the Hockey for Heroes Ladies squad:

England Hockey player Liam Sanford also attended the event to get involved with some of the games and meet our members.

The “Fleet of Foot” competition was won by Ellen Knighton and the “U-shot?” shuttle competition was won by Jack Hobkirk.

There were also “Fleet” vs “Ewshot” and “Futures of Flushot” charity matches.

Over £800 was raised and donated to the Hockey for Heroes charity.

CLUBMARK

We are proud to announce that the club has attained formal recognition through Sport England’s national accreditation scheme known as ClubMark.  The scheme has been established to recognise high-quality community sports clubs and stands for higher standards of welfare, equity, coaching and management.

Fleet & Ewshot are only the second hockey club in Hampshire to have attained the England Hockey recognised ‘ClubMark’ accreditation which establishes FEHC as being at the forefront of Hampshire, as well as national, hockey clubs.

The Chairman, Su Smith, said: “The current Committee and I would like to express our recognition and thanks to all those who have contributed towards achieving this goal, but not least to James Edwards whose endeavours over the past few years as Chairman have made this all possible.”
