A vast improvement on last week despite still losing but against a team playing an equivalent division above us. We held our own for large parts of the game and only put ourselves under pressure when we lost shape or tried to play too much up the center where Alton were very organised and strong. Defensive error from yours truely led to the first although if Griff kept his legs together it might have been different. The second was a scrappy goalmouth scramble which despite Griff and Mack both putting bodies on the line Alton managed to scramble over the line.
Things to work on yes, and new players in the squad finding their feet but overall positive steps forward.
