Mens 3’s 0-4 Yateley 3
Wow what a scorcher! The hottest match in FEHC history Ed?
The men’s 3’s played a fast paced Yateley in a friendly today. We played the match in quarters.
Yateley started very quickly and scored a well worked goal in the first minute, followed by another two in the first quarter. We struggled initially to cope with their youthful pace as a team, but a quarter time team talk from our skipper as well as a formation rejig helped us work better together in the second quarter. We really improved throughout the match from this point all working hard under tricky conditions. Yateley scored one more before half time from a p-flick I think. From then on we played some good hockey as a team, Griff made some nice saves and organised us well, there was some stout defending across the back, good spells of possession and interplay in midfield and our forwards coming close on a couple of occasions.
We drew the second half 0-0 which I think was great - we stuck at it and really improved as the game went on.
A quick vote in the clubhouse for MOM was unanimous - well done Harry Scarborough! Harry had a great game today, excellent in all areas and great composure on the ball.
