As I’m sure we are all aware, it was akin to being on the suns surface for anyone playing, umpiring or watching today. Far too hot for hockey really, but in true hockey spirit, we played anyway ?
L2s faced Basingstoke 4’s (lovely to see you Lizzie Amy) and though we held off a lot of their attacks, scored the 1st goal & had some promising breaks up the pitch, the score ended 4-1 to them.
Basingstoke were like a well oiled machine & played really well. We did too, and we should keep our heads high, especially as we’re still getting used to each other & formations.
Our goal came from a lovely pass from Maria Vatis to Jess, who weaved through a few players, went to pass the ball but scored instead ?
Well done L2s, onwards & upwards!
