It was a local derby today and it was set to be a close battle. Right from the off it was an end to end encounter. Near the end of the first half they scored from a short against the run of play. We had created several opportunities and had got into some good areas but we just couldn’t take our chances. After the break Aldershot started to threaten us more and posed a threat on the counter. Unfortunately they scored again and with 10 minutes to go we really needed to go for it. After many short corner attempts we finally pulled one back through Chris. We kept going and didn’t give up but in the end they were the better team on the day.
We move onto Addiscombe next week which is a must win.
MOM goes to Millard for a battling midfield performance.
DOD goes to me for a number of reasons, mainly for a swing and a miss cricket shot outside our D.
