Today we looked to get back to back wins after last weeks victory over Addiscombe .
Camberley started on the front foot by scoring in the first 15 minutes. We struggled to get a grip on the game during the first half and we found it difficult to transition between defence and attack quickly like them. They grabbed a second not long after and then a third just before the end of the half. Despite being 3-0 down it hadn’t been an awful showing from us as we had more d entries than them and still posed a threat on the counter. After the break it was a much better response from us. We clamped down on their main playmaker and overall were much more compact. It became a little feisty with both sides picking up a few green cards respectively. They got another from a short but we didn’t give up. After some good pressure from our attackers we pulled one back through a cheeky roofed finish from Will Caine.
Overall it wasn’t a bad second half against a well organised side. There are some positives to take from that. Next week is Guildford which will be a tough game but we have shown we can compete in this league.
MOM goes to Will Caine for another class performance topped off with a goal
DOD is me again for a few reasons. This time for tripping over my own feet and doing a Tom Daley esque tumble dive when there was neither ball or opposition near me.
I seem to be doing a lot of match reports this season, I hear Match of the Day are short staffed tonight…
