We are the club to join in north Hampshire for competitive and social hockey for adults and juniors in the Fleet and Ewshot community and surrounding areas. We currently run four Men’s and three Ladies’ teams, an occasional Mixed and Vets side and have a vibrant and expanding youth section from Minis (U8s) through to U16s. We play in the Hampshire Leagues, offer excellent training by England Hockey qualified coaches and have a lively social scene catering for all. We focus on developing players of all ages and abilities.

So if you are an experienced player, returning after a period away or new to the sport please get in touch. Take a look at the site to find out more and please contact me or any Committee member for further details. We look forward to welcoming you to the Club.

Su Smith

Club Chairman

Summer hockey begins on Thursday 21 June and continues for 10 weeks up until the August Bank Holiday (final session 23 August).

18:30 to 19:30   Juniors *

19:30 to 21:00   Seniors (please arrive for 19:15 to arrange teams)

* Juniors include U12s and younger and U14s not playing or planning to play senior hockey in the Autumn or who are new to hockey)

We have both pitches available for all sessions, so there’s room for everyone!  The senior sessions are for those who play, or intend to play adult Saturday hockey next season or who are away at School or University during the Winter season.

Sessions are open to all Club members, those attending the Satellite Club at Calthorpe Park School, Back2Hockey or anyone genuinely interested in joining the Club next season whatever their age.

Club Day will be on 8 September 2018.  More details to follow.

We chose to recognise the 40th anniversary of Ewshot HC and the 10th anniversary since the club merger by raising money for Hockey for Heroes.

Three local teams took on the Hockey for Heroes Ladies squad:

England Hockey player Liam Sanford also attended the event to get involved with some of the games and meet our members.

The “Fleet of foot” competition was won by Ellen Knighton and the “U-shot?” shuttle competition was won by Jack Hobkirk.

There were also “Fleet” vs “Ewshot” and “Futures of Flushot” charity matches.

In excess of £750 was raised and donated to the Hockey4Heroes charity.

We are proud to announce that the club has attained formal recognition through Sport England’s national accreditation scheme known as ClubMark.  The scheme has been established to recognise high quality community sports clubs and stands for higher standards of welfare, equity, coaching and management.

Fleet & Ewshot are only the second hockey club in Hampshire to have attained the England Hockey recognised ‘ClubMark’ accreditation which establishes FEHC as being at the forefront of Hampshire, as well as national, hockey clubs.

The Chairman, Su Smith, said “The current Committee and I would like to express our recognition and thanks to all those who have contributed towards achieving this goal, but not least to James Edwards whose endeavours over the past few years as Chairman have made this all possible.”

Many congratulations to Jack Hobkirk for being selected to play for the South Saxons at the UK U13 Boys Regional Hockey Championship at the Nottingham Hockey Centre.

No fewer than eight girls and four boys have been selected to represent Hampshire at the County (Academy Centre) level having undergone a rigorous selection process at the end of the Development Centre which took place before Christmas. This is a new record for the Club exceeding the nine County and two Regional representatives we had in 2017 and reflects the emphasis the Club continues to put on supporting all levels of Junior Hockey.

Those honoured in 2018 are:

U17 – Lauren Slack
U16 – Jodie Bennett
U16 – Becky Geoghegan
U16 – Esha Lall
U15 – Molly Kelly
U15 – Frida Kenning
U15 – Lucy Stretton
U14 – Amy Cradden
